Steph Maree

Steph has only been tattooing for a couple of years, but has already gained a loyal and growing customer base for her quirky offbeat designs.

She has been interested in art from an early age and after studying art at high school, moved on to study fashion design at Otago polytechnic. After a little while she realized this was not the artistic direction she wanted to be taking and left to pursue a career in tattooing. Steph moved from Dunedin to wellington in 2015 to make this dream a reality. After a few months in the city she landed an apprentiship at Kakapo Ink, where she worked for two years.

After travelling to Auckland to get tattooed by some of her favorite artists she decided it was time for a change and wanted to work with some new artists, she joined us at Union shortly afterwards.

Steph has been working hard on her drawing and tattooing in the short time she has been with us and is very dedicated to push her skills forward, we can’t wait to see her grown and develop.
